Eric Shans, der in Brooklyn (NY) lebt, ist seit fast 20 Jahren Produzent und DJ.
Sowohl unter dem Synthie-Pop-Duo Phenotract und dem Darkwave Duo Fermion, als auch unter seinem eigenen Namen hat er viele Veröffentlichungen und Remixe gemacht, die die Genres Deep House, Darkwave, Techno und Ambient umfassen. Immer beeinflusst von melodischen und verträumten Klängen, zukunftsorientiert und manchmal mit einem Hauch von Nostalgie. Das ist auch die Musik die er am liebsten hört.
Auch seine DJ-Sets sind eine Verkörperung dessen, indem sie ätherische Vocals, treibende, dirty Basslines und bewegende Melodien für Herz, Füße und Geist kombinieren.
Er ist außerdem Mitbetreiber der Labels 3Bridge Records und 3Bridge Elements (das Ambient / Downtempo-Schwesterlabel) mit Sitz in Brooklyn und einer der Gründer der inTRANSIT-Partys, die in New York City hauptsächlich im TBA-Brooklyn, einem der besten Underground-Clubs des Bezirks, stattfinden. Er macht auch eine monatliche Downtempo-Show auf Frisky Radio namens “Fleeting Passage”, die für ihre vielfältige Präsentation von Chill-Out- und Ambient-Musik bekannt geworden ist.

A producer and DJ residing in Brooklyn, NY, Eric Shans has been making and playing music for almost 20 years. He has always been influenced by melodic, dreamy sounds which have a smattering of grit underneath.
Both under the synth pop sounding monikers Phenotract and the darkwave act Fermion (a duo) and under his own name, he has many releases and remixes that span the genres of deep house, darkwave, techno, and ambient. The music he makes is truly reflective of the sounds he loves to hear; forward thinking and at times, wrapped in a sense of nostalgia.
His DJ sets are also an embodiment of this as well, combining ethereal vocals, driving and dirty bass lines, and moving melodies for the heart, feet, and mind. He also co-runs the labels 3Bridge Records and 3Bridge Elements (the ambient/downtempo sister label) based in Brooklyn and is one of the founders of the inTRANSIT parties which take place in New York City mainly at TBA Brooklyn, one of the borough’s best underground clubs. He also does a monthly downtempo show on Frisky Radio called “Fleeting Passage” which has gained notoriety for its diverse showcase of chill-out and ambient music.
