Florian Punzel aka Syno hat seinen Einstand bei Evosonic erfolgreich überstanden und schon kommt er wieder unter die „Remix-Räder“. Die 2 Evosonic Radiomacher der ersten Stunde, Andy Baar und Chris Maico Schmidt, liefern sich auch hier wieder ein (Fern) Duell unter Freunden. Ihr letztes aufeinandertreffen (Elektrifizierer-Von Kopf Bis Fuß Remixes, EVO021) lief allerdings außer Konkurrenz, weil die Styles unterschiedlicher nicht hätten sein können. Auch diesmal würde man Äpfel mit Birnen vergleichen. Da der Anfang Januar veröffentlichte Remix (EVO026) von Label Inhaber Chris Maico Schmidt eher „gebrochen“ war, ist der Remix von Andy Baar wieder im 4/4 Takt und rundet damit das Remix Paket meisterlich ab. Auf Andy ist halt Verlass..

Florian Punzel aka Syno has successfully survived his debut at Evosonic and he is back under the “remix wheels”. The 2 Evosonic radio pioneer of the first hour, Andy Baar and Chris Maico Schmidt, deliver themselves here again a (remote) duel between friends. Their last clash (Elektrifizierer- Von Kopf Bis Fuß Remixes, EVO021) ran out of competition, however, because the styles could not have been more different. Since the remix (EVO026) released by label owner Chris Maico Schmidt at the beginning of January was rather “broken”, Andy Baar’s remix is back in 4/4 time, rounding off the remix package masterfully.

In a figurative sense, friendship refers to a good and often contractual or political relationship between record labels or nations. Matziz komponiert an den Grenzen von Filmmusiken, auch Hip-Hop, Rock und Jazz. Hier sein Versuch, Bilder in Musik zu übersetzen, die Klangmaterie zu formen, mit Texturen zu spielen und daraus eine emotionale Essenz zu extrahieren. Unser neues „Familienmitglied“ Matziz ist der elektronische Teil von dem französischen Musikproduzenten Mathieu TORRES. An den Grenzen von Filmmusiken komponiert er auch Hip-Hop, Rock und Jazz.

Matziz arbeitet auch mit #DIRTINTHEWIND, einem berühmten Kollektiv von Kunstfilmern, zusammen. Für die Musik (Turtle, Track 1 auf der LP) zum Kurz Film „Tiroirs“ wurde er mit dem „Best Music Price“ auf dem 48h Film Festival ausgezeichnet.

Matziz composes at the boundaries of film music, including hip-hop, rock and jazz. Here is his attempt to translate images into music, to shape the sound material, to play with textures and to extract an emotional essence from it. Our new “family member” Matziz is the electronic part of French music producer Mathieu TORRES. He also composes hip-hop, rock and jazz at the boundaries of film music.

Matziz also works with #DIRTINTHEWIND, a famous collective of art filmmakers. For the music (Turtle, track 1 on the LP) for the short film “Tiroirs” he was honored with the “Best music price” at the 48h Film Festival.

Wir schreiben das Jahr 2008. Sina, ein türkischer Tourist, mietet sich als Couchsurfer bei Ponchmann ein. Sandro Palazzo war zufällig mit Gitarre da. Ponchmann hatte ein Musik Studio Vorort, Sandro Palazzo kann Gitarre und wie sich herausstellte kann Sina singen und Querflöte, aber kein Wort Deutsch. Voila: „Istanbul Dreamz“.

The year is 2008. Sina, a Turkish tourist, comes to Ponchmann as a couch surfer. Sandro Palazzo happened to be visiting with a guitar. Ponchmann had a music studio suburb, Sandro Palazzo can play guitar and as it turns out Sina can sing and flute, but not a word German. Voila: “Istanbul Dreamz”.
