Evosonic Records celebrates its 5th anniversary in 2021 with a 12-track compilation featuring remixes of 3 tracks from the album „Ponchmann And Friends – Another Story Untold“ (Evo050). The result is a potpourri of electronic music of different genres. All of them receive the rating „Especially Valuable“ from experts. The Continuous Mix by Marie Wilhelmine Anders is also a masterpiece. She managed to make a collective out of 11 individuals. The sound of the label is impressively represented by Peter F. Spiess, Mar io, dudelsaladt feat. Mr. TaXXXi, Sven Kössler, Cie, Morgen Wurde & Tis, Oida Holz, Studiogegner, Sorí, of course Marie Wilhelmine Anders and Chris Maico Schmidt. Resistance is futile.

Happy Birthday Evosonic Records. You are now 5 years young and yet already so grown up. The compilation of this compilation underlines that very impressively. All the different styles you have released, even though you know that this makes it much harder to prove yourself in the long run. Undeterred you go your way, from genre pigeonhole to genre pigeonhole. Remarkable. As a proof of our admiration we give you an unreleased track. More precisely, the guys from Dudelsaladt give you their track „Organicmeal“. A fine piece of techno that was only held back for special occasions. Keep up the good work and we promise to select only the best artists for the Continuous Mix in the future.

The Greek philosopher Aristotle described friendship as „one soul in two bodies“ and in German the terms „Freundschaft“ and „Verwandtschaft“ were used synonymously until the 17th century. Welcome and many thanks to: BluFin Records, Yellow Tale, Jackfruit Recordings, noreira records, A-Site Records, Form & Terra, MixCult Records, Harthouse Mannheim, Plastic City and Plastic City Suburbia, Emerald & Doreen and last but not least City of Drums. Also this year it was not easy to create a mix from the 12 titles of different genres. In fact, it was so difficult that in the second attempt Space Mountain by Dompe lost its place in the Continuous Mix by Martin Vitzthum. Sorry for this, but this is the only way to make sure that I can maintain my current position: Sensational mix, dear Martin.

Because of Covid-19, the „Records“ department at Evosonic had a few months off, also because the „Radio“ department had a lot to do, precisely because of that. Now new releases are coming up again. Furthermore the Records department is going into its fifth (!) year and celebrates this, like the years before, with the compilation from its own house. Backlist Vol. 3 was compiled and mixed by Barbaros and completed with an unreleased track by himself. „Fate“ is the name of the deep house production and clearly bears his signature. Remixes of it are already in the making and will be released later this year. The Cologne-based producer and DJ is a permanent fixture at Evosonic in both departments. With the radio show „Differences“ Barbaros continues the way he started with his label „Noreira Records“. Offering a platform to not yet so well known artists!

Friendship refers to a relationship of people based on mutual affection, which is characterized by sympathy and trust. Friendships are of paramount importance to people and societies. Also this compilation does not submit to any conventions. This is essential for the same goal: High musical quality. Big applause, please, for Sam Oliver, who has taken on the difficult task of bringing these very different tracks into a flow for the Continuous Mix. He succeeded sensationally.

The 3-year anniversary of Evosonic Records brings the third compilation into the download and streaming shops. The 2nd with releases from own house. Backlist Vol. 2. From Deep House, through Tech House to Techno, it’s again across genres. Ponchmann, Matziz, Barbaros, Andy Baar, Francesco Riga, Florian Punzel, The Electronic Advance, Julian Reifegerste, Elektrifizierer, Frank Krumsdorf and Chris Maico Schmidt are the well-wishers this year. And because the phrase from last year also fits this time: as if 10 tracks were not enough, there is still the whole thing as a „continuous mix“ on top. This is like the chocolate on the hotel pillow, the surprise in the egg, the extra single for double LP, the chewing gum in ice, the 13th salary or the additional number in the lottery.
