Biografie (english below)

Es war im Frühjahr 1984, als ich das erste Mal, eher zufällig, hinter den Decks stand. Dies war in einem Keller eines Jugendhauses in Leverkusen. Mehr als 100 Gäste feierten in der „Phonothek“ und tanzten zu „Sweet Dreams“ oder zu Queens „I want to break free“. Dies war auch das allererste Stück was ich jemals vor Publikum aufgelegt habe. Das war auf einem Technics SL7, einem Tangential-Plattenspieler, Mixen? Unmöglich!

Der Spaß an der Musik war und ist immer noch im Vordergrund für meine Arbeit und natürlich die Emotionen die Musik auslösen kann. Ich mag die DJs nicht, die sich hinter Ihrem Pult mit Cappy auf dem gesenkten Kopf verstecken. Ich mag es die Leute zu beobachten. Über die Jahre hatte ich so die Möglichkeit viele tolle und großartige Momente zu erleben.

It was in the spring of 1984 when I stand for the first time behind the decks. That was in a cellar of a Youth House in Leverkusen. More than 100 guests celebrated in the „phonothek“ and danced to „Sweet Dreams“ of Eurithmics or to Queens „I want to break free“. This 7“ Vinyl of Queen was the very first rekord I played in front of an audience. On a tangential turntable. I think it was Technics SL7 at the time. The turntables were absolutly unsuable for mixing. Touching the rekord while playing? Impossible

The happieness with music was and is still in the foreground for my work and of course the emotions that music can trigger. I don‘t like the DJs hiding behind their cappy and face down, I like to watch the people. Over the years I have been able to experience so many great moments.

wurde. Später im Jahr gab ich mein Debüt im Cosmic Club Münster beim Cosmic Rave und wurde danach Resident-DJ im Cosmic Club, wo ich House/Trance/Techno in den Clubnächten und Breakbeats/Drum n Bass bei den Raves auflegte. …. Zum Beispiel Mystic Land 1, 2, 3 usw.

Während ich für den Cosmic Club arbeitete, boten sich mir weitere Gelegenheiten, wie z.B. die Cosmic Club Tour durch Deutschland, bei der ich offizieller DJ für Numark Deutschland wurde und für die ich 1996 auf der Frankfurter Musikmesse und der Love Parade in Berlin auftrat. 1997 gab ich dann mein Debüt für EVOSONIC mit Drum n Bass.

1998 bekam ich die Möglichkeit, für BFBS Deutschland zu arbeiten und Anthems in the Mix zu produzieren, was ich bis 2001 tat. 2002 kehrte ich nach Großbritannien zurück, um Musikproduktion zu studieren und DJ-Skills am Northampton College zu unterrichten. 2005 gründete ich mein eigenes Aufnahmestudio, im April 2019 kehrte ich zu EVOSONIC zurück, um The DnB Dimension zu produzieren und wieder Musikproduktion und Musiktechnologie am Halesowen College zu unterrichten.

„First appearence was Subways Hiltrup Munster in 1992, I appeared occasionally until the club closed in early 1993, later in the year I made my debut for the Cosmic Club Munster at the Cosmic Rave and thereafter became a resident DJ for the Cosmic Club playing House/Trance/Techno on the Club nights and Break beats/Drum n Bass at the Raves…. For example Mystic Land 1, 2, 3 etc.

Whilst working for the Cosmic Club I was presented with other opportunities, For example, Cosmic Club Tour of Germany and I was to become the official DJ for Numark Germany making appearence’s for them at the Frankfurt Music Mess and Love Parade Berlin 1996, from there my Debut for Evo Sonic in 1997 playing Drum n Bass.

1998 saw the opportunity to work for BFBS Germany producing Anthems in the Mix which, I did until 2001. I returned to the UK in 2002 to study music production and teach DJ skills at Northampton College, 2005 set up my own recording studio, April 2019 saw the return to Evo Sonic producing The DnB Dimension and return to teaching Music Production and Music Technology at Halesowen College“

Bereits Ende der 90er Jahre präsentierte Detlef Keller die Sendung Ad Libitum bei Evosonic Radio bis zum bitteren (vorläufigen) Ende! In Anlehnung an Winfried Trenkler`s Radio Show „Schwingungen“ präsentiert er nun live an jedem Donnerstag zwei Stunden Elektronische Musik – meist im Stile der sog. Berliner Schule (z.B. Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk, Vangelis u.v.m.). Dazu gibt es Hinweise zu Infos zu Veranstaltungen rund um diese Szene.

Wer vom Alltag abschaltet oder mal die Seele baumeln lassen will, der kann sich auf jeden ersten Donnerstag des Monats und auf Ad Libitum freuen! Er ist selbst Elektronikmusiker und stand mit zwei Freunden (zusammen BK&S) bereits auf vielen Bühnen in Europa und den USA.

Übrigens, Wikipedia sagt:
Der Ausdruck ad libitum entstammt dem Lateinischen und bedeutet „nach Gutdünken“, „nach Belieben“. In der Musik steht die Bezeichnung für eingeräumte Freiheiten bei der Interpretation eines Werkes, beispielsweise bei Tempoänderungen oder beim Ausschmücken von Melodien mit eigenen Ideen.

Already in the late 90s Detlef Keller presented the radio show Ad Libitum at Evosonic Radio until the bitter (provisional) end! Based on Winfried Trenkler’s radio show „Schwingungen“, he will present now two hours of electronic music live on every Thursday – mostly in the style of the so called Berlin School (Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk, Vangelis, etc.). There is also information about events around this scene.

If you want to disconnect from everyday life or just take a break from everyday life, you can look forward to every first Thursday of the month and to Ad Libitum! He is himself an electronic musician and has been with two friends (together BK & S) on many stages in Europe and the USA.

By the way, Wikipedia says:
The term ad libitum comes from Latin and means „do what you want to do“. In music, the term stands for granted freedoms in the interpretation of a work, for example in tempo changes or when decorating melodies with their own ideas.

Biografie (english below)

Der Weg zum DJ wurde für Kai aus Süddeutschland geebnet, als er 2004 den OM Club in Madrid besuchte. Er sah, wie der DJ es schaffte, eine Stimmung aufzubauen und mit der Menge zu spielen. Da er von seinem alten Leben mit seinen Freunden, die bereits an Arbeit und Familie gebunden waren, gelangweilt war, wurde er deKai.

Aufgrund seiner Affinität zu Heavy Metal ist deKais Sound hart und treibend. Ein Fan beschreibt seine Musik mit dem Gefühl, von Raubtieren gejagt zu werden und um sein Leben zu rennen. In den Anfängen spielte er seinen Techno in Clubs in Ingolstadt, München, Augsburg, Regensburg und vielen anderen Städten in Süddeutschland.

Im Jahr 2009 entschied er sich, einen Schritt weiter zu gehen und zog in die Geburtsstadt des Techno, Berlin, mit der Absicht, die Massen der deutschen Hauptstadt in Ekstase zu versetzen. Der Start in der neuen Stadt war hart und deKai hielt sich mit kleinen Jobs auf dem Bau und wenigen Bookings im Club Levee über Wasser.

Nach einiger Zeit bekam er dort eine Residency angeboten und immer mehr Clubs wie Tresor, Sisyphos, Kosmonaut, Suicide Circus, Magdalena, M.I.K.Z, Fiese Remise und Golden Gate wollten ihren Anteil am deKai-Sound haben, was ihn zu einem der angesagtesten und meistgebuchten DJs in Berlin machte.

Einer der Meilensteine auf seinem Weg war ein 10-stündiges Set im Magdalena, nach dem der Keller des Clubs „Kais Keller“ benannt wurde und ein weiteres 10-stündiges Set auf der Betriebsfeier Hoppetosse. DeKai hat einen langen Weg hinter sich.

Seit 2011 ist er bei Kiddaz FM unter Vertrag und 2014 gründete er mit Holgi Star sein eigenes Label RAGNARØK. Künstler wie Holger Nielson, Hefty, Patrick Arbez, Asem Shama, Moog Conspiracy, IXEL, Kenny B, Sven Sossong und deKai veröffentlichen Tracks, die einen erschauern lassen.

The road to becoming a DJ was paved for Kai from Southern Germany when he visited the OM Club in Madrid in 2004. He saw how the DJ was able to build up a vibe and play with the crowd. Being bored of his old life, with his friends who were already bound to work and family, he became deKai.

Because of his affinity to heavy metal, deKai’s sound is hard and pushing. A fan describes his music as having the feeling of being chased by predators and running for your life.

In the beginnings he played his techno at clubs in Ingolstadt, Munich, Augsburg, Regensburg and many other cities in Southern Germany.

In 2009, he decided to take it a step further and moved to the birthplace of Techno, Berlin, with the intention to drive the crowds of the German Capital into ecstasy. The start in the new city was tough and deKai held himself above water with small jobs in construction and few bookings at Club Levee.

After quite a while, he got offered a residency there and more and more clubs like Tresor, Sisyphos, Kosmonaut, Suicide Circus, Magdalena, M.I.K.Z, Fiese Remise and Golden Gate wanted to have their share of the deKai sound, making him one of the hottest and most booked DJs in Berlin. One of the milestones along his way was a 10 hour set at Magdalena after which the cellar of the club got named „Kais Keller“ and another 10 hour Set at Betriebsfeier Hoppetosse. DeKai has come a long way.

Lebensphasen Backspin

1ofthe2 the Prophet Radio Man (heute sagt er: es kommt noch schlimmer) lebt zurzeit wieder Dr´Hoim, und arbeitet nach 40 Jahren Diaspora an der Verwirklichung seine Bestimmung. Handelte bis 2016 als selbstständiger Trader einen kleinen privaten Fond mit Future an der CME/ Chicago und der EUREX / Frankfurt. Befand sich in der Höhle des Bösen als kleiner Parasit und dachte immer schlimmer kommt nimmer. 2012 beginnen Sabbatjahre im Ausland und er erlernt Shaolin Qi Gong als Schüler von Großmeister Shi Yan Liang Abt von Europa und darf nun mit Abschluss und Siegel des Abtes selbst unterrichten und unterrichtet auf Anfrage. Aufgrund eines schweren Unfalls sowie der Subprime Finanzkrise 2008 wird das vorige Leben in Frage gestellt und radikal neu sortiert. Er war zuvor als Versicherungsfachmann/ Versicherungsmakler tätig, vorwiegend im Bereich Kranken -und Lebens Versicherung. Befand sich in der Höhle des Löwen als gutes Bakterium und dachte immer schlimmer kommt nimmer.

Gründet 1999 mit weiteren DJs und Musikschaffenden das erste deutsche DJ MP3 Label deejay24.com. Ziel war es über eine große DJ Community (1000) die Wertschöpfungskette innerhalb der Musikbranche zu optimieren. Davor 7 Jahre A&R / PM für das Management “Die Fantastischen Vier“ / Bär Music Factory Stuttgart. Betreuung von Das Modul, God´s Groove, The Free, Jule Neigel und weiteren erfolgreichen und gescheiterten Bands. Befand sich in der Höhle des Bären und dachte immer es geht so weiter und weiter und weiter.

Resident DJ im AT Musik Podium Stuttgart, der Jazz Club von SWR3 und Konsorten. Musik – und Programmgestalter inklusive Bandbetreuung u.a. für Peter Herbolzheimer und sonstigen Big und Bands. Weitere 7 Jahre tätig als Resident DJ in und um Stuttgart herum, trifft DJ Mike S. (Chris Maico Schmidt) und später auch DJ Bär (Andreas Läsker). Beide bringen aktuellen Dance Sound in den Club und nutzen das AT als Karriere Sprungbrett :). Außerdem lernen Sie, was es bedeutet nach 24 Uhr auch richtige Musik aufzulegen :). Spielt als Drummer in einer Band namens Lizerunt. Während dieser Zeit absolviert er bei der Evangelisch-Methodistischen Freikirche ein Praktikum zum Pastor. Biografie (english below)

Sein Leben ist Musik und er lebt für die Musik. Jeder einzelne Ton ein Stück seines Lebens. Denn man kann den Ton zwar auf eine Platte pressen oder auf ein Downloadportal stellen, aber man kann die Emotion bei jeder Note nicht speichern, höchstens die Erinnerung daran. Seit dem er denken kann, dreht sich in seinem Leben alles um die Musik. Er lernte schon früh Gitarre spielen. Später kam noch Klavier hinzu.

In seiner Jugendzeit gründete er eine Punk-Rock-Band, in der er anfangs noch Gitarre spielte, später jedoch (Weil sich niemand anderes fand) zum Gesang gewechselt ist. Aus der Punk-Rock-Band wurde eine Cover-Rock-Band und er absolvierte drei Jahre klassische Gesangsausbildung.

Musikalisch gibt es für ihn keine Grenzen. Er interessiert sich für alles, was mit Musik zu tun hat. So lernte er Dudelsack spielen und sammelt für sein Leben gerne Instrumente. Sein Motto: Er muss aus jedem Instrument wenigstens ein Lied herausbekommen.

His life is music and he lives for music. Every single note is a piece of his life. Because you can press the sound on a record or put it on a download portal, but you can’t save the emotion of each note, at most the memory of it. Ever since he can remember, everything in his life has revolved around music. He learned to play the guitar at an early age. Later he added the piano.

In his youth he founded a punk rock band, in which he initially played guitar, but later (because no one else could be found) switched to singing. The punk rock band became a cover rock band and he completed three years of classical vocal training.

Musically, there are no limits for him. He is interested in everything that has to do with music. He learned to play the bagpipes and loves collecting instruments. His motto: He has to get at least one song out of every instrument.

Nr. 1 und Nr. 2 in den UK Underground Dance Charts, Top Ten in den iTunes- und Beatport Charts. Label Inhaber von Suspect Records 1993-1995, seit 2016 von Evosonic Records. Mann hinter Evosonic Radio, 1997 bis 1999 der weltweit einzige Radiosender, der 24 Stunden, 7 Tage die Woche und 352 Tage im Jahr Elektronische Musik spielte. Man behind Evosonic Radio, 1997 to 1999 the world’s only radio station that played Electronic Music 24 hours, 7 days a week, 352 days a year. Since 2015, Evosonic has been broadcasting over the internet.

As an instructor at VibrA School of DJing, he taught music production with Ableton and DJing from 2004 to 2018. He was resident DJ at OZ-Stuttgart, Cave Club-Salzburg. Co-owner of Delirium Record Shop, Stuttgart.

He played in Hungary, UK, Switzerland, France, Austria, South Africa, Denmark, Russia, Czech Republic, Croatia, USA, Spain, Italy.

He played live and as a DJ at the following festivals (selection): Loveparade 1993/1997/1998/1999, Omni 3, Unity Rave 2, Transmission Rave, Union Rave, Heart of Gold, Eskalation II, Hardtrance Experience, Space Woodstock.

Biografie (english below)

„Leben ist – was die Musik daraus macht!“ – darum ist Musik so wichtig in allen Bereichen und einer der Gründe, warum Sam Oliver nun schon mehr als 20 Jahre als DJ und Produzent unterwegs ist. Der gebürtige Westfale lebt und arbeitet seit 1997 in Hamburg und betreibt von dort aus auch sein Label „A-Site Records“. Schon während des Studiums in den 90er-Jahren organisierte er Veranstaltungen, nahm mit eigenem Wagen an der Loveparade teil und reiste als Tour Manager und DJ durch ganz Europa.

Die Sets von Sam sind immer eine Mischung aus verschiedenen Musikrichtungen. „In the beginning there is House – at the end it´s always Techno“. Getrieben von progressiven Sounds und schönen Melodien und immer nur in eine Richtung: „Nach vorne“! Seit 2017 ist Sam auch im Doppelpack mit Peter Jürgens als Techno Projekt „VOODOO BLEND“ zu hören.

Mit „HAMBURG NIGHTLINE“ hat er eine wöchentliche Radio-Sendung auf EVOSONIC RADIO (Mittwochs 23:00 Uhr) und seit 2 Jahren ist er aktiv an der Organisation vom „Zug der Liebe“ in Berlin beteiligt.
