fing 1997 mit dem Auflegen an und hatte nach einigen Jahren der Bar und Club Gigs in Berlin im Jahre 2005 seine erste Residency im Sage Club sowie in dem Club des lokalen Radiosenders FRITZ und im Spindler & Klatt.

Auch mit eigenen Produktionen mit dem im Jahre 2011 gegründeten Duo Jeff & Jessey konnte er einige Erfolge feiern. Dazu gehören unter anderem Releases bei Stil vor Talent. Aktuell ist er wieder im Studio um neue Releases für 2023 vorzubereiten.

Heute ist er Resident im “Süss. war gestern” und der Bellucci Bar.

started DJing in 1997 and after a few years of bar and club gigs in Berlin he had his first residency at Sage Club in 2005 as well as at the club of the local radio station FRITZ and at Spindler & Klatt. He also had some success with his own productions with the duo Jeff & Jessey, which was founded in 2011. This includes releases at Stil vor Talent. Currently he is back in the studio to prepare new releases for 2023.

Sein Mutterschiff stürzte im letzten Viertel des 20. Jahrhunderts unweit des europäischen Kontinentes auf die Erde. Das P.A.P. (Planetare Adoption Programm) gab ihm die Möglichkeit ein normales Leben unter Erdlingen zu leben. Angereichert durch die Weltraumstrahlung gelang ihm schon seit jeher das Verschmelzen von Möglichkeiten und Menschen.

Musikalische Früh Prägung durch seine zugewiesenen Eltern auf der Erde, bestand im Großen und Ganzen aus „Radio Luxemburg“ und der Plattensammlung des Vaters: Jethro Tull, The Doors, The Beatles, Nina Hagen, Elvis und Co. Um nur einige zu nennen. Hinzu kam das autodidaktische Lernen von „Stille Nacht, Heilige Nacht“ auf der Bontempi Orgel, die ihm zu seinem 6. Erdenjahr geschenkt wurde. So verliefen alle weiteren Maßnahmen zur Ergreifung der Welt-Musik-Herrschaft bis zum heutigen Tage natürlich Autodidaktisch in Eigenregie, damals noch ohne Internet.

Im zarten Alter von 8 Jahren wurden bereits erste „Moderationsversuche“ anhand von selbstgestalteten Radiosendungen vollzogen. Was für ihm 15 Jahre später noch von Vorteil werden sollte. Zur selben Zeit, kurz vor seinem 9. Erdenjahr, machte er mit Rap bzw. Hip-Hop zum ersten Mal Bekanntschaft. Electric Boogie und Breakdance kamen kurz darauf hinzu. An die damalige Zeit angepasst, über Kassetten-Tapes!

Die ersten Gehversuche in Sachen musikalischer Unterhaltung kamen mit 15 Erdenjahren. Der erste bezahlte DJ Gig! Equipment: 1 Monarch 4 Kanal Mischpult, 2 Sony Hi-Fi CD-Player, Location: Grundschule Köln Poll. Auch damals schon kannte er keine musikalischen Grenzen.

In den 1990er Jahren folgten legendäre Begegnungen mit Acid, House und Techno. 1997 fügte sich zusammen, was mit 8 Jahren schon begann. Evosonic Radio entstand in seinem näheren Umfeld. Zeitnah wurde Ponchmann Bestandteil einer der interessantesten Geschichten der elektronischen Subkultur. Erste Produktionserfahrung sammelte er Ende der 1990er im Studio des Kölner Labels „Treibstoff“. Gemeinsam mit Dominique Chevalier entstand damals der Track „Porz am Rhein“.

Ab dem Jahr 2001 folgte eine der kreativsten Studiophasen. Im heimischen HeartbreakHotel Studio, das er mittlerweile in Porz eingerichtet hat, entstanden gemeinsam mit Markus König, Sandro Palazzo und vielen anderen, Songs in Akkordarbeit. Unregelmäßige Regelmäßige DJ Auftritte auf allen Genres Bühnen schmiss er, auch dank seiner eben erwähnten angereicherten Weltraumstrahlung, nebenher. Und das, ausgenommen einiger ruhigen Phasen, bis zum heutigen Tage.

2013 startete das Internetradio „674fm“, dass er maßgeblich von Anfang an mitgestaltete. Aktuell ist er dort mit seiner Sendung „Tagedieb-Studio Edition“ zu hören. Unter dem Pseudonym „Helge Nug“, gestaltet er mit Machern, Spielern, Tänzern und Freunden, diese Radioshow und Veranstaltungen.

2017 kam der Podcast „Disco Dynamite“ hinzu. Zusammen mit Markus König kredenzt er dort House Musik vom feinsten, natürlich im Mix.

Its mother ship crashed to earth not far from the European continent in the last quarter of the 20th century. The P.A.P. (Planetary Adoption Program) gave him the opportunity to live a normal life among earthlings. Enriched by space radiation, he has always succeeded in merging possibilities and people. Musical early imprinting by his assigned parents on Earth, consisted largely of “Radio Luxembourg” and the record collection of his father: Jethro Tull, The Doors, The Beatles, Nina Hagen, Elvis and Co. to name a few. In addition, there was the autodidactic learning of “Silent Night, Holy Night” on the Bontempi organ, which was given to him for his 6th year on earth. Thus all further measures for the seizure of the world music rule ran up to the today’s day naturally autodidactically in self-direction, at that time still without Internet.

At the tender age of 8 years already first “moderation attempts” were accomplished on the basis of self-designed radio broadcasts. What should become for him 15 years later still of advantage. At the same time, shortly before his 9th year on earth, he made acquaintance with rap or hip-hop for the first time. Electric Boogie and Breakdance were added shortly after. Adapted to the time, about cassette tapes!

The first walking attempts in the matter of musical entertainment came with 15 earth years. The first paid DJ gig! Equipment: 1 Monarch 4 channel mixer, 2 Sony Hi-Fi CD players, Location: Elementary school Cologne Poll. Even then he knew no musical boundaries.

Legendary encounters with acid, house and techno followed in the 1990s. In 1997, what had already begun at the age of 8, came together. Evosonic Radio was born in his immediate environment. Ponchmann soon became part of one of the most interesting stories of the electronic subculture. He gained his first production experience at the end of the 1990s in the studio of the Cologne label “Treibstoff”. Together with Dominique Chevalier, the track “Porz am Rhein” was created at that time.

From the year 2001 followed one of the most creative studio phases. In the home HeartbreakHotel Studio, which he has now set up in Porz, created together with Markus König, Sandro Palazzo and many others, songs in chord work. Irregular regular DJ appearances on all genres stages he threw, also thanks to his just mentioned enriched space radiation, besides. And that, except for some quiet phases, to this day.

Christian hat Betriebswirtschaftslehre an der Universität Mannheim studiert und an der Universität Witten/Herdecke promoviert. Anschließend war er viele Jahre Unternehmensberater und im Investment Banking tätig. Es folgte ein Ruf an die Hochschule Trier (Umwelt-Campus Birkenfeld) für den Bereich Corporate Finance und Entrepreneurship. Er forscht über Unternehmertum an der Grenze Staat-Privatwirtschaft und im Bereich Regionale Wertschöpfung. Um nicht nur im Elfenbeinturm der Hochschule zu leben, berät er nach wie vor Unternehmen im Bereich der Unternehmensnachfolge und Finanzierung.

Christian studied business administration at the University of Mannheim and earned his doctorate at the University of Witten/Herdecke. He then worked for many years as a management consultant and investment banker. Henrik, ist bei 331,62 ppm CO₂ auf Kohle geboren, hat theoretische Physik in Aachen studiert und an der Ruhr-Uni promoviert. Im Anschluss hat er einige Jahre in der Photovoltaikbranche in Augsburg gearbeitet, bis er 2013 Professor für Erneuerbare Energien am Umwelt-Campus Birkenfeld der Hochschule Trier wurde. Dort bringt er jungen Menschen die Energiewende näher. In seiner Forschung untersucht Henrik, wie Unternehmen und Kommunen mithilfe von Energiemodellen ihre Klimaneutralität erreichen können. Seit Mitte 2022 betreibt Henrik einen Podcast gemeinsam mit seinem Kollegen Christian rund um die Themen Energie, Wirtschaft und Klima. In seiner Freizeit ist Henrik Familienvater, großer Arsenal-London-Fan und leidenschaftlicher Gamer.

Henrik was born at 331.62 ppm CO₂ on coal, studied theoretical physics in Aachen, and earned his doctorate at Ruhr University. He then worked in the photovoltaic industry in Augsburg for several years until 2013, when he became a professor for renewable energy at the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld of Trier University of Applied Sciences. There, he teaches young people about the energy transition. In his research, Henrik examines how companies and municipalities can achieve climate neutrality with the help of energy models. Since mid-2022, Henrik is running a podcast with his colleague Christian on energy, economics, and climate. In his spare time, Henrik is a family man, a big Arsenal London fan, and a passionate gamer.

Geboren und aufgewachsen im sonnigen Santa Monica, California, geht Tim Otis’ Liebe zur Musik bis zurück in die späten 70, als er sich auf seinem Heimweg von der Schule 7″ Singles kaufte. Sein Hobby sollte bald alle Aspekte seines zu Hauses bestimmen, in dem er alle Räume mit Ton verkabelte.
Was als Leidenschaft begann wurde bald zum Ganztagsjob in den 80ern, als er gefragt wurde, beruflich Musik für Veranstaltungen bereitzustellen. Die damalige musikalische Landschaft war weit und spannend, als Groß Britannien vor Talent explodierte: “New Romantic” hatte Europa im Sturm erobert, war in den Vororten Kaliforniens jedoch weitestgehend unbekannt.
Tim Otis stellte den Soundtrack für viele Veranstaltungen unter dem Namen “Natural Outputs”. Er mixte Tracks von The The und den Simple Minds zusammen mit experimentelleren Acts, wie Bill Nelson und Brian Eno. Das Ergebnis war eine Klanglandschaft, die ihre Hörer gleichermaßen fesselte und beruhigte.

1991 startete Otis mit der Acid House Partyreihe in San Francisco’s legendärem Clum “I Beam” auf der Haight Street die ersten Ecstasy inspirierten Parties der Stadt.
Der “New Beat” Sound Belgiens wurde mit der manisch sequenzierten Musik Londons vermischt und bot somit die Basis für ein Jahrzehnt illegaler Warehouse Parties, das folgte.
Tim’s Beiträge zur After House Szene fanden schnell Beachtung und als Promoter begannen größeren Wert auf Chill Out Areas zum Entspannen und rehydrieren für die Raver zu legen. Tims Arbeit umfasste Video und Diashow-Montagen, ChillOut-Design und natürlich beruhigende Klangcollagen.

1995 zog Tim nach Prag und eine neue Leidenschaft war geboren: Radio.
Seinen Einstieg fand er als Aushilfe bei “Demon Sounds” auf Radio 1, doch das Programm wandelte sich schnell in eine Melange aus Breakbeat, Trip Hop und Acid Jazz und so musste ein neuer Name her: “Eclectica”.
Aufgrund großer Beliebtheit folgte alsbald ein 3-Stündiger Prim-Time Slot, jeden Freitag Abend. Unter dem Namen “High Fidelity” präsentierte Tim Otis ab sofort wöchentlich einen bunten Teppich der musikalischen Vielfalt.
Aktuelle Inspirationen stammen von Lamb, Kid Loco, William Orbit, Thievery Corporation, Kruder & Dorfmeister und Fink, um nur ein paar zu nennen.
“Ein starkes perkussives Element ist kritisch für erfolgreiche Lounge Sets”, sagt Otis zu seiner 4-jährigen Residency in der Lounge von Radost FX. “Man vergisst schnell, dass es zu meinen Aufgaben gehört, meine Hörer auch zu forden. Ich möchte in Deine Gefühle eintauchen, lange vergangene Sounds und Menschen wiederfinden, auf eine innere Reise gehen, dorthin, wo nur der Hörer war. Ich möchte den Soundtrack für Dein Leben spielen!”

Biography

Born and raised in sunny Santa Monica, California, Tim Otis‘ love of music stretches back to the late 70’s where he would purchase 7” vinyl singles on his way home from school. His hobby soon encompassed all aspects of his home where he would modify all his rooms to be “wired for sound” What started as a passion became full time work in the 80’s when asked to provide music for gatherings as a profession. The musical landscape then rich as Britain exploded with a cornucopia of new talent. “New Romantic” music had swept Europe but was largely unheard in suburban California. Tim provided soundtracks to many a gathering under the firm name “Natural Outputs”. Mixing tracks from The The and Simple Minds along with more experimental acts such as Bill Nelson and Brian Eno, the result was an environmental soundscape that soothed and intrigued listeners.

In 1991 Otis founded the Acid House in San Francisco’s legendary “I Beam” nightclub on Haight Street. This was the first ecstasy inspired party of its kind in the city. The Balearic “New Beat” of Belgium had mixed with the manically sequenced industrial music of London, which provided the backdrop for a decade of illegal wherehouse parties that followed thereafter. Tim’s contribution to the after hours scene was prolific. Gears shifted as promoters soon placed additional emphasis on”chill-out” areas where ravers could unwind and rehydrate after dancing. Tim’s work included video and slide montages, chill room design as well as a soothing downtempo soundsape environments.

Tim’s move to Prague in 1995 gave birth to a new passion, radio broadcasting. Having started as a substitute on “Demon Sounds” on Radio 1 the program soon morphed into an mélange of break beats, trip hop and acid jazz hence its first name change “Eclectica”. The shows success prompted an expanded 3 hour prime time slot on Friday nights called „High Fidelity“ showcasing the diverse musical tapestry of all things musical. Present inspirations include Lamb, Kid Loco, William Orbit, Thievery Co. Kruder & Dorfmeister and Fink to name a few. “A strong percussive element is critical to successful lounge sets” says Otis as he settles into his 4-year residency in the Lounge at Radost FX. “People forget that challenging the listener is part of my job. I want to immerse your senses, recollect sounds and persons long gone, journey within’ to where only the listener has been. I want to soundtrack your life!”

1983 in der Ukraine geboren, zog ANASTASIA BELOSOVA aka DIE HEX, 1999 nach Deutschland. Hier entdeckte sie schnell das „Tor 3“ und den „Poison Club“ in Düsseldorf, dort ihre Liebe zum Techno. Innerhalb kürzester Zeit hatte sie ihr eigenes DJ-Equipment. Auf der Suche nach mehr Input landete sie bei der „Vibra School of DJing“ in Köln.

In der anerkannten Musik Schule lernte sie das technische Handwerk und das musikalische Performen, u.a. beim Dozenten Mike S. aka Chris Maico Schmidt. Sie entwickelte ihren eigenen Style und individuelle künstlerische Interpretation von der elektronischen Musik. Unkonventionelle harte groovige Techno Beats bevorzugt DIE HEX auch bis heute, am liebsten von Vinyl abgespielt.

Seit 2007 setzt sie ihre musikalischen Erfahrungen mit Experimentierfreudigkeit auch in eigenen Musikproduktionen und Remixen um. Damals an ihrer Seite, Producing Trainer Danny Wendt (Danito), der sie in die Welt von „Ableton Live“ eingeführt hat. Eigenwillig, wie ihr Sound, war ihr es aber nie wichtig, unbedingt zu veröffentlichen. Das erklärt, warum es bis 2019 nur zwei Releases von ihr gibt.

Einen Schritt weiter geht sie mit ihrer eigenen Radio Show „HEXENRAVE“. Obskurer Sound im Mix, Effektgewitter, gebrochene und psychedelische Beats auch, auf Ihre Weise meistens hart. Am besten nennen wir es Soundcollagen. Von 2014 bis 2016 zu hören auf „674FM“ (Köln) und seit 2016 exklusiv beim Kult Sender „EVOSONIC RADIO“.

Die Begeisterung für Musik, Kunst, Kultur und audio-visuelle Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten prägen und beeinflussen ihre Ausdruckswege und -formen.

Born in Ukraine in 1983, ANASTASIA BELOSOVA aka DIE HEX moved to Germany in 1999. Here she quickly discovered “Tor 3” and the “Poison Club” in Düsseldorf, there her love for techno. Within a very short time she had her own DJ equipment. In search of more input, she ended up at the “Vibra School of DJing” in Cologne.

In the recognized music school she learned the technical craft and musical performance, among other things. with the lecturer Mike S. aka Chris Maico Schmidt. Auf dem Union Rave im Tor 3 kam er 1993 das erste Mal mit House & Techno in Kontakt. Nach vielen weiteren Partys wollte Andy nur noch eins, den Dancefloor mit dem Platz hinter den Turntables tauschen! 1996 war es soweit, es kam zu seinen ersten Auftritten in verschiedenen Clubs rund um Köln. Ab 1997 war Resident DJ bei Evosonic Radio, damals der einzige Radiosender, der 24 Stunden Nonstop elektronische Musik Europaweit sendete. Der Kultsender prägte ihn sehr. Vom ersten bis zum letzten Tag war der Sender sein zweites Zuhause. Das moderieren fiel ihm ebenso leicht, wie das produzieren von Jingles und Trailern. Mit „Sleep Disorder“ hatte er seine erste wöchentliche Radioshow. Als fester Bestandteil der Radiocrew und durch viele Stunden ON AIR, erweiterte Andy seinen musikalischen Horizont innerhalb der elektronischen Musik.

Nach diversen nationalen Gigs (siehe Stations) waren die Auftritte bei der Loveparade 1998 und 1999 als Main-Act von Evosonic Radio einer seiner Highlights. 2012 bei der legendären Geburtstagsshow zum 15. Jubiläum von Evosonic Radio, entdeckte Andy Baar das Internetradio für sich. Seither nutzt er diesen Weg um seine immer noch vorhandene Fangemeinde mit meinem typischen „Andy Baar Sound“ zu versorgen! 2017 startet Evosonic Radio erneut….mit Andy Baar. 2017 ist auch das Jahr eines weiteren Höhepunkt in seiner Karriere. Auf Evosonic Records erscheint seine erste Produktion: “Sleep Disorder EP”.

Andy Baar’s first contact with electronic Dancemusic was in 1993 at Düsseldorf Unionrave. From there on he’d knew ”This is my thing”. Being Guest at several Partys with electronic Music he felt the need to swap his place on the dancefloor with a place behind the turntables. In 1996 having the first gigs in Clubs arround Cologne. 1997 was the beginning of what he really liked: He started as resident DJ at Evosonic Radio. From the first day to it’s last, Evosonic Radio was his second homebase. Starting with the Show ”Evopool-Update”, he loved to work on air and everything that had to do with that, like recording jingles, creating concepts and sets for the show. Quick after that he had his first own weekly show called “Sleep Disorder”.

Hours and hours on air, getting a much brighter horizon of what electronic music could do, he went more and more familiar with lots of genres electronic music has to offer. Several gigs around Germany and being a part of the Loveprades DJset 1998 and 1999 were some of his highlights. 2012 the old love of making Radio shows knocked on his door with the possibility of having an online broadcast at the 15th anniversary of Evosonic Radio. Since the he used this way for broadcasting his “Wunderbaar Radioshow” (since 2016 his show “Sleep Disorder” as podcast) for letting old and new fans have the typical sound again. 2017 startet Evosonic Radio again….with Andy Baar. 2017 is also the year of another highlight in his career. On Evosonic Records his first production is released: „Sleep Disorder EP“.

Schon in jungen Jahren begeisterte ihn elektronische Musik in allen Bereichen. Von elektronischer Musik aus Filmen oder Videospielen, die er aufnahm und daraus eigene Mixtapes bastelte, bis hin zur Club- und Diskozeit, wo er fortan mit Bordmitteln zuhause versucht hat, die Lieblingssets seiner DJs nachzuspielen. Musik war immer ein fester Bestandteil in seinem Leben.
Als großer Fan von Evosonic Radio, von 1997 bis heute, wuchs schon immer der Wunsch in ihm, es seinen Lieblings-DJs, wie z.B. Chris Maico Schmidt, gleich zu tun. Es blieb aber zunächst bei Mitschnitten seines Lieblingssenders und einer beruflichen Orientierung als Jurist und Kaufmann. Es dauert weitere 24 Jahre, bis sich die Wege von Jörg Arweiler und Evosonic Radio wieder kreuzten. Im Jahr 2021 bat Jörg Arweiler den Sender, ihn als Medienpartner bei seinen Großveranstaltungen wie „hello2AI“ oder „MOVE!“ zu unterstützen. Aus einer erfolgreichen Partnerschaft wurde eine enge Freundschaft mit den Machern des Kult Radios. So führte eins zum anderen und der einstige Traum, selbst mal DJ und Moderator zu sein, wurde wahr. Heute moderiert Jörg Arweiler „Innovation Germany“, hat als „JARWEILER“ einen festen Sendeplatz auf Evosonic Radio und durfte zusammen mit Philipp Giebel einen gemeinsamen Track für Evosonic Records produzieren.

Even at a young age, electronic music inspired him in all areas. From electronic music from movies or video games, which he recorded and made his own mixtapes from, to club and disco time, where he tried from then on to play the favorite sets of his DJs at home with on-board equipment. Music has always been an integral part of his life.
As a big fan of Evosonic Radio, from 1997 until today, the desire always grew in him to do the same as his favorite DJs, such as Chris Maico Schmidt. But at first it remained with recordings of his favorite station and a professional orientation as a lawyer and businessman. It took another 24 years until the paths of Jörg Arweiler and Evosonic Radio crossed again. In 2021, Jörg Arweiler asked the station to support him as a media partner for his major events such as “hello2AI” or “MOVE!”. A successful partnership turned into a close friendship with the makers of Kult Radio. One thing led to another and the former dream of being a DJ and presenter became reality. Today, Jörg Arweiler hosts “Innovation Germany”, has a permanent slot on Evosonic Radio as “JARWEILER” and was allowed to produce a joint track for Evosonic Records together with Philipp Giebel.

Tobias ist Chefredakteur von tokafi, Herausgeber von 15 Fragen und Kulturredakteur bei Deutschlands größtem Printmagazin zum Thema Recording, “Beat”. Sein Hauptinteresse gilt den Überschneidungen zwischen Klangkunst, klassischer Musik und zeitgenössischer Komposition. Er hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, die internationalen Aspekte dieser Genres aufzudecken und herauszufinden, wie ihre Interpretation durch die Brille verschiedener Kulturen eine neue musikalische Sprache und Gemeinschaft formt.

Tobias schreibt regelmäßig für das neuseeländische Kunstmagazin “White Fungus” und hat für Online- und Print-Publikationen wie All About Jazz, Klassik.com, Earlabs, Headphone Commute, drumnbass.de, Fluid Radio, The Field Reporter, Vague Terrain, Magnetic Mag, Oro Molido, Tech.de und MacLife geschrieben. Tobias is editor-in-chief of tokafi, publisher of 15 Questions and a cultural editor for Germany’s biggest Printmag on Recording, „Beat“. His main area of interests are the intersections between sound art, classical music and contemporary composition. He has made it his mission to uncover the international aspects of these genres and how their interpretation through the lense of different cultures is shaping a new musical language and community.

Tobias regularly writes for New-Zealand based arts magazine “White Fungus” and has contributed to Online- and Print-Publications such as All About Jazz, Klassik.com, Earlabs, Headphone Commute, drumnbass.de, Fluid Radio, The Field Reporter, Vague Terrain, Magnetic Mag, Oro Molido, Tech.de and MacLife. He is also head of the einzeleinheit and ex ovo labels (the latter in unison with Mirko Uhlig) and the man behind the Feu Follet project. Tobias currently lives in Berlin, Germany.
